Activism in Action
In my six years of party involvement, I have organized over a dozen events and have been to countless more. See below for my visual diary of my activism in action!
The Second Annual BP DFL Fundraiser - As chair, I had the honor to emcee our fundraiser that raised several thousand dollars
Promoting BIPOC and Women Voices - Our speakers for the evening included Lt. Governor Flanagan, Speaker Hortman, Senator Pha, and Representative Vang
New and Seasoned Activists in One Room - Of the over 90 people who attended, many featured DFL'ers from all walks of life, from college students to Vietnam War veterans.
Growing Our Party - The First Annual BP DFL Fundraiser had 62 attendees. The Second Annual BP DFL Fundraiser had over 90.
Exurban Support - In Corcoran, I learned the importance that there are many of us in places often written-off as "Trump Country". Support and door-knocking will open opportunities to make our state blue--for good.
Biking in BP - Engaging people where there unlocks incredible passion and interest. Politics is not solely about driving volunteers but creating a community of engaged DFL'ers.

Always Organizing - Even in off-year elections, it is vital to support our down-ballot races, especially in School Board races. I was happy to organize an event in support of a DFL-supported school board candidate.

Even in the Pandemic - We learned that we can both respect pandemic guidelines and win in 2020.

Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter - No matter the season--it always the time to organize. In support of a candidate, another successful event.

Parades are a Must - When summer hits, I'm out on the parade routes. Many say parades are one of the best parts of organizing--I certainly agree.

Even in Fall - October is incredibly important for campaign season, but its hard not to have a little fun and support a local business.
Convention Season - For many, a rite passage is helping out at a convention. Sometimes being on stage is a little intimidating, but Auditor Blaha really made it a blast.
Dog in the Capitol? - As a dog-lover, it was an absolute honor to meet the first dog. Though, I never expected to experience that honor in a conference room inside the Capitol.
Phillips' Office - Serving first as an intern, it was an honor to hold the role of Staff Assistant in the Office of Representative Dean Phillips in 2022.

Electoral College Alternate - Despite being in the pandemic, it was an experience of a lifetime to be able to participate in the electoral certification of Joe Biden's win in Minnesota.
Time at the Capitol - Like many young, politically-active people, I had the privilege of serving in the Governor's Office as an intern.

Students at the Capitol - One of my priorities included engaging young people in our party. Organizing a trip to the Capitol is one way show the importance of elections!
Volunteering at and Visiting the DFL Booth is a Must! - The great Minnesota Get-Together is something that cannot be missed. The DFL booth is the cherry on top!
Making Politics Exciting - Canvassing is the bread and butter of organizing, but it not always engaging to younger people. Engaging young people is a must, and we must find solutions and create events that demonstrate that politics is not only engaging, but lively as well.

Founding Young Democrats Chapter - Where I got my start--founding a chapter of Young Democrats in high School.
