Meet Ben

Why Minnesota?

I spent nearly my entire life in Minnesota. I grew up, graduated high school (Champlin Park HS) and college (University of St. Thomas), and started a career with a nonprofit all within the borders of our beautiful state. From the fantastic boundary waters, to the shoreline of Lake Pepin to bike races in Mankato, all the way up to the Northwest Angle, I do not have the words to express the adoration I have for our state. As an avid hiker, biker, and camper, I have an aspiration to eventually visit every state park in Minnesota. As an Eagle Scout, I credit my interest in community organizing to the values I learned in Scouts BSA.

The DFL

22-years-old. Six years in the DFL.

The DFL is incredible. With its grassroots-focus and family-like atmosphere, a 16-year-old kid was welcomed with open arms to the party when, after the 2016 election, he realized he had the power to do something.

I have served in several roles, showing commitment and results through my time in the DFL. As Brooklyn Park DFL Chair, I organized fundraisers earning thousands of dollars and bringing a community together. I have brought together our people in numerous outreach events. As CD3 DFL Outreach Officer, I have learned the importance of Democratic organizing in urban, suburban, and rural areas--and how strategies that may work in certain areas, may not work in others. I've come to appreciate the uniqueness of our great state.

The DNC

I am energized and excited to bring our DFL values to the Democratic National Committee and be the communicative bridge between our DFL and the national Democratic Party. While I certainly do not claim to know all the answers, I hope to bring a fresh, optimistic, and youthful voice to the DNC, with my commitment, experience, and results to back me up in serving you.
